  1. Hearing Dark was the night for the first time at Bruce Bastin’s house on a crackly 78 was one of those moments/records thst change your life. I was astounded by the bottleneck slide playing and that eerie moan and went on to discover the majesty of the majesty of this wonder musician, the call and response of his guitar and the beautiful angelic voice/s of the lady accompanists.

  2. Can you please reveal to us, the novice audience, what original research Corcoran has written about with regards to Blind Willie Johnson? I’m very confused by his claim of expertise on the subject.

    • Mr Corcoran has covered Willie Johnson in his All Over the Map book about Texas music and in his liner notes for God Don’t Never Change. He told me he intends to cover the subject more in his forthcoming book next year.
